Definitely some of the best books for yokai info are Komatsu’s Yokai Culture, Michael Dylan Foster’s books, the Yokai Attack series, and Matthew Meyer’s art books. If you like the academic side, you could also read Yoshiko Okuyama’s Japanese Mythology in Film and Figal’s Civilization and Monsters.
