Actually, Bari, I think you should explain why "trust in the mainstream news organization and the legacy press" is "at historic lows" and spell out what news sources you think people retreat to "that protect them from conflicting narratives". I think your explanation would be...edifying.

And at this point, they've enabled such an enormous amount of pain, trauma, irrevocable harm, and actual death- I don't know what kind of off ramp is possible here (I do fervently hope there is one).
But the current "this is what I voted for!" crowd has permanently changed how I view this country.
