I say that not to justify Marty's behavior at all. My parents were about the same age as Marty, and were both raised by single moms in NYC. They were not hustlers and became a school principal and school social worker, which would allow them to both help others and have secure jobs.

I loved this movie. I did not see it as a celebration of narcissism but a portrayal of the post-WWII era, especially for Jews, who were processing the terror of the holocaust while attempting to pursue the American dream, all of which created an aura of fear, moral uncertainty and desperation.

Chop's story is heartbreaking! Thank you for shining a light on such horrible inhumane behavior.

The EIA offsite requirements for nuclear is only the water source and they do not even mention fuel, which is weird. Here is the EIA report: www.eia.gov/analysis/stu...

DOI ignores that the EIA report used for much of the acreage data in the calculations also lists the "offsite requirements." For natural gas, these include the gas pipeline, water source, and the treatment and discharge of blowdown waste. Wind and solar offsite requirements are minimal.
