One of the reasons we suppress fear and sadness is because we are emotionally so congested that we fear never being able to get out of these emotions.

Many times we do not feel fear but make subconscious choices for our own “safety” that will lead to a less safe world.
When we feel, we can heal.
Our task is bringing the darkness of our subconscious mind to the light of our inner knowing.

It’s important not to admit the other person is right or that you agree with them. Take the time to find a way to acknowledge their right to their own narrative in a way that feels good for you.

Typically both people take turns acknowledging the other person’s reality but when there are power dynamics (parent/child or high/low EQ) the person with the power will sometimes be the only one to acknowledge the other person’s reality as an act of love.

In situations where I’m unable to find agreement with another person about a version of reality, the next best option is to acknowledge two separate realities and stop trying to force each other to share a reality about the situation.
