and now the floors are clean, the cats are out, and the cubbies are organized. but as they say in my hometown, no plan survives first contact with the enemy, so it remains to be seen whether my organizing is as cat-resistant as i’d like it to be (it never has been before)

Merlin has been so much more cuddly lately, I think the surgery last month has made her more comfortable. It’s not that her personality has changed, it’s like she’s more willing to share it with me 🥹

i want to scoop this kitten up and hold her close to my face and hear her little purrs. but if i do that, she will claw me in the face, and worse, she will not nap next to me for the rest of the week.
