Such an important article. Across Europe we keep capitulating to far right demands, with the pretext that that’s the only way to survive. Where has that led us so far? Only farther right, away from human rights, the rule of law, climate sensitive policies, in a race to the bottom.

Why didn't people just walk out of the room during this ramble of hate & absurdity? Turn their back, laugh, leave. Stop giving him an audience. Show him that people do not respect him. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Sara* applied for refugee status in 2014. This year she was on the verge of reuniting with her son & grandchild — until the #RefugeeBan upended their lives. She should be celebrating #MothersDay safe at home with her family. But we’ll keep fighting until families like Sara’s can be together & safe.

Notably missing: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia. Kind of mindblowing to me given what the substance of this letter is: "government should not retaliate against law firms"
Dean Chemerinsky and other #lawschool deans "speak as legal educators, responsible for training the next generation of lawyers, in condemning any government efforts to punish lawyers or their firms based on the identity of their clients or for their zealous lawful and ethical advocacy."
