Due to the protagonist literally having partially blue hair, initial pronouns being part of the character creation, and the game being out since 2022, what I've seen of the "I Was A Teenage Exocolonist" fandom is very much a space in which "blue hair and pronouns" has been reclaimed.

If you're still looking, the stat-building part is derived from a series called "Princess Maker". Imitators with dating elements I've played on Switch are "Cute Bite", "Lair Land Story", "Chines Parents" and "Long Live the Queen". "Growing up" and "Volcano Princess" might also fit the bill on PC.

I always like to see people who know the real genre. One of the things that frustrates me is simultaneously seeing it be called a deckbuilder and deckbuilder veterans calling that aspect too simple. It's not the game's main mechanic, guys...

In practice, it's more "SOME of the tragedy is avoidable, but ONLY because you know it's coming, this time".

Gotta deliver that order of three hugs and a kiss.

Great timing, since it's asexuality awareness week.

I happen to know a movie addressed that idea... in 1997 (Gattaca).

Just realized it would explain why there's a member of the polycule we never meet. Maybe we players have been mislead into believing we never met him all this time 😁 (amateur writing hobby is 90% fanfic, can't turn it off).

I'm enough of a cat lover to be watching the "Nyaight of the Living Cat" anime and this has me worried. Actual scene from the anime below:

I don't play Rimworld and have no idea how much control one has on sleeping locations. But since one of the aspects of exocolonist I like are the reminders that the adults had lives before the kids showed up, I'm having a blast at where Al and Tirah ended up.

Part of it is that Antecendent and Seeq have monopoly on running the food and item one respectively and... this regularly happening off-screen would explain a lot, actually.

I remember seeing a theory that those two are siblings somewhere before actually watching the movie and this is the one scene that made me think "yes, that checks out".

Correction: the "baby son" was apparently some glitchy duplicate of the adopted daughter who had been taken in two days before Kayela's death. Turned out I could remove the crib with the hammer. Actual adopted daughter got kicked out of the farm alongside Penelope and is now an apprentice carpenter.

For the last time, stop following strange Faceless 😠.

Try to specialize in Biology, you'll stumble upon stuff that will help. You'll need to be an Engineering regular for Geranium, so it merges well with untangling Tangent's storyline.

Once you manage to both keep Dys in the colony and figure out the dialog options that will sabotage Tangent's research, do it again while also helping Rex with his bar. This will get you closer to scene you look like you will enjoy.
