I mean, I think I got up to book 9, but they stopped letting me get more after that point. There's a terrible movie that stole the characters of the first book and abandoned the rest of the series. Seventh Son. Terrible movie. Does not follow the plot at all. Set in the wrong place. Just dreadful.

Either that, or pagan gods becoming more and more common as the series went on. My folks were fairly devout, but they also liked to skip Sunday if you get what I mean.

If I had to guess, they might not have liked the literal biblical devil acting as a corrupting influence on Tom, the series protagonist. More so because he was in love with a witch, who had to sell her soul to said devil for her powers, which she uses to seduce Tom.

I haven't read a whole lot in recent years, but I remember the Spook's Apprentice being a series I couldn't put down in middle and early high school. Parents stopped buying when they overheard my sister and I talk about it.

I do not think giving kids meals and protecting them from extreme weather is preying upon the youth. These are things he does.
He led an effort to ensure every student gets breakfast and lunch, regardless of if they can or cannot afford it.

So, you don't want social security, and you think it is fair to detain without probable cause and deport without due process as the constitution dictates must be done, and the Supreme Court has upheld this right for everyone, not just Americans?

They do make the air frigid for the food inside. It's about perspective. If i side is hot, outside is frigid. Easier to make the inside hot than the outside cold.

As someone who works in milk, do not consume raw milk. It is not safe. It is the most dangerous food consumed regularly within the US. Eating raw eggs is safer than raw milk, and people freak if you so much as touch an egg about salmonella.
