From the window seat of an airplane, you can see a slice of rainbow directly outside, coming from some puffy clouds above and disappearing into the wingtip of the plane. There's a bit of city to the right, and Lake Michigan to the left, of the wing.

so my partner and I have come up with Chopped Archetypes. one of them was named Joey Donuts (guy who likes Big Flavors, loves his family, has a Boston accent). and now, entering season 12, I discover that I have manifested this man into existence. he actually exists. what the heck

please laugh with me (it is all I can do to not cry) at how badly the guy my landlord hired to "stain" our porch did before he gave up and left it for the landlord to come back and fix... and enjoy my alt text
Images of a wooden porch that looks as if an exuberant 3-year-old with a can of red spray paint was let loose to wreak havoc upon it. The boards of the railing are less than halfway covered in stain, but not in an even-handed, half-finished way that would indicate a degree of care was taken in the process to stop at a certain point due to lack of resources; no, dear reader, this was a sheer spray-and-pray operation. I am confused as to how this even happened. An image showing how the stain was also applied to the side of the house, and the gutter, and the next door neighbor's fence too! 3 units stained for the price of one, what a bargain!

finally decorated my office corner! more to come, but feeling pretty happy with this arrangement for now.

I love keeping shrimp 😌 They are such chill little buddies to watch and I get so excited when I see babies in the tank.
