He exploits calculation of financial and business risk that companies (& their insurers) make. CBS caved because it feared its merger might be threatened - it would have won on a judgment.

The BBC is a foreign, state-owned corp. It’s in a good position to expose and negate this type of shakedown.

Much of the stuff Griffin was coming out with at that time is similar to what you hear from people like Matthew Goodwin now, yet Goodwin is uncontroversially invited onto Question Time to share his views as a “popular commentator”. The normalisation is complete, it really is a huge reversal.

I remember when Nick Griffin appeared on Question Time 15years ago, it was seen as a shocking, though unavoidable, event. A senior panel was put together and the pervasive distaste at having to offer him airtime was made obvious. The panel spent the whole show attacking his ideas.
