Thank you! It was great fun to put together, especially with the fond memories behind it. She used to make up stories out of the whole cloth for me when I was a kid, and I loved every second of it.

Sure! But I will be upfront that I'm not in the market to hire anyone at the moment, so I won't be offended if you decide not to dedicate extra time with me when you could possibly find a paying customer elsewhere.

Wow, I should have slowed down on this one. Let this last post another lesson to anyone who sees it: check your work!

I get it. My English classes in school never properly explained semicolons to me either. I have the luxury of a retired newspaper editor in the family who was able to teach me these things and hammered the heck out of my grammar. For those who are struggling with this, here are a couple links...

If an agent is turned off by correct usage of a semicolon in the first, or ANY sentence, I don't want them as my agent, because, quite frankly, that means they're just illiterate.
I suspect this is a myth dreamed up by aspiring writers who don't understand how to use semicolons. (More below.)

How would you go about making it more detailed?

Thank you! It was a fun little diversion from writing the epic fantasy book I published last year, and I'm planning on doing another one this year, plus a few more short stories of other types too.

That might hurt at first, but if you're honest with yourself, you'll learn from it. Just don't listen to the people who sell you negativity, because the path to success is not laid with sorrow. It's laid with honest struggle, effort, and hope.

You need feedback you can act upon, feedback you can LEARN from, not just someone to tell you that your work is bad.
That being said: you do need to take your editor seriously. If they are editing in good faith, they are going to tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear.
