🇮🇸 Icelandic, living in Scotland. Nature and animal lover, I like reading, playing word games and puzzles on my tablet, and taking long walks with my dog, Ruby. I am 82 years old.
Ruby is now 13 years old. She is my pride and joy, a well behaved and friendly dog, a perfect companion, my best friend. Our time together will soon come to an end. Ruby has been diagnosed with a mass on her spleen. Our daily long walks have become shorter, and she rests a lot. I am devastated.

This tree was felled yesterday in the wooded area where I walk my dog every day. They said it was leaning and might be dangerous. It was very old, an imported giant redwood (I think), dating from the 18th century when this was a park belonging to a baronial mansion. Now long gone.
