Let it be clear: this is not about simplification nor is it about still achieving the original intent of the #CSDDD and #CSRD. This is the European Commission turning its back on the #GreenDeal and its promises for corporate accountability, sustainable supply chains and climate action by companies.

⛔ LIMIT:

CSRD to limit companies from requesting ESG data from companies in their value chains outside of the legislative scope.

CSDDD to extend maximum harmonization, blocking Member States from introducing more ambitious legislation.

❌ REMOVE:

CSDDD to no longer include EU civil liability liability and revoking obligation for Member States regarding representative actions by trade unions or NGOs.

CSDDD to remove the obligations to 'put into effect' climate transition plans.

📉 REDUCE:

CSRD to reduce companies in scope by 80% to only large undertakings with more than 1000 employees and either a turnover >50 million or a balance sheet >25 million.

CSDDD to reduce supply chain scope for systematic due diligence to direct business partners only once every 5 years.
