On a serious note our primary consideration is climate hardiness and temperament and general chicken welfare of course. Which means the Ayman Cemani is out (We live in northern sweden), but that Svarthöna is in the running.

Then we have the Swedish chicken landrace Svarthöna (black hens). Second picture. They are also metal. But more everyday metal. Like metal fan in cut off washed out black jeans and worn band t-shirt metal. Not in the best shapes of their life, with a few comfort kilos metal. Which I find delightful
