Man, they REALLY want Avatar to make another $2 billion dollars in the box office.
They're gonna get Avatar AND Marvel fans to see this multiple times in theaters. It's honestly pretty clever, and I like that this will probably drive more theater attendance. (Even though I don't really like Avatar.)

Doesn't mean you can't do both. Netflix is just way too afraid of releasing their original content by any other means, whether it be physical media or theaters, and I really hope they reconsider that some day.
