This week I also went to an art show that was right outside the DAM where chalk artists gathered and created art right on the street. Here is a picture of my visit.

There was also an interactive artwork that allowed the visitors to make their mark on the gallery. I was able to create my own small design on a piece of paper and add it to the wall. That can be seen here below.

Then I saw a model of a triangular building that functions as a hotel that is very close to the museum itself. It looks like this.

The next piece of artwork that I came across was these light fixtures that opened and closed as if they were breathing. It can be seen here below.

In this part of the museum there was also a wall covered in smaller contemporary art pieces.

My other favorite artwork from this area was another Monet called, “Waterloo Bridge, Sunlight Effect” and was painted in 1903.

This was one of my favorites from the section. It is called, “The Seine Near Giverny” and was created in 1885.

The art piece that I decided to observe was from a collection called Thirst. This collection is made up of an assortment of different landscape photos. I chose this one in particular and I somehow forgot to photograph it, so this picture is from the DAM website.

I first visited artworks from the top floor which exhibited western American art. I specifically enjoyed this artwork because it was the first piece I looked at when entering and it felt as if I was being brought into this western world.
