Do they though? Bolsheviks at 23% in 1917 Constituent Assembly elections. They ruled for 74 years after that.

Singapore at 6.18 and Brazil at 6.49. Seems a solid bet.

Autumn in the Heavenly Kingdom by Stephen R Platt on the completely crazy Tai Ping Rebellion.

The most poetic justice thing ever would be if they stiff him and make him sue for the shares.

As so often, he is confusing Broadway musicals with stories from history he's heard about. He knows he's supposed to play the fiddle while the country burns but he thinks he needs to do it on the roof.

Assuming something never happened because you are unaware of a specific example is not proof of non-occurrence.

Give me an example of sentient life on a planet other than Earth.

Asking for proof of unknowable things is just sophistry. I don't know why I bother engaging. I somehow hoped for more for this site.

Of course there are no examples because there are no Olympic guidelines for men's sports. No one checks anything so no one could ever know whether a woman competed or not.
July 22, 2025 at 10:49 PM
How would you know? No one ever checks. There are def Olympic sports like shooting and perhaps fencing where this could be an advantage.

Agree with this except for this part: "and is so volatile that to protect Americans it must be regulated strictly". No one in the Biden admin attempted to regulate crypto in any fashion. Many in the industry would've cheered if they had. What they tried and failed to do was stamp it out entirely.

But he seemed so normal with his diatribe on Sarah Palin's fake pregnancy.

No idea how to do a habeas petition, but I am Illinois qualified and don't sleep much. Would be happy to volunteer.

Yes, that is my point. She could have not put it in the video.

I will vote in this primary and I may vote for her, but I won't throw money into a lost cause. If she wants to run on Palestinian rights, that's fine but it isn't the way to win the IL-09.
March 24, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Do you mean her father was a Palestinian immigrant? Yes, I know.

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think that fact obligates her to hang a keffiyeh in the background in her campaign launch video.
March 24, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Maybe she does and if she wants to make that part of a campaign to win IL-09 good luck. But if this isn't a key part of her campaign why hang a keffiyeh in the background of your launch video?
March 24, 2025 at 3:02 PM
Not really sure a keffiyeh is the right political prop for the IL-09. Might want to check out the demographics of this district.

This is such silly stuff. His buddy Vladi can explain to him how to do this. Have Vance (or some other flunky) at the top of the ticket and Trump as VP and then Vance resigns immediately after being sworn in. Easy. No changes or re-interpretations needed.

This is so low energy. Why not President-for-Life? He promised no more elections.

If they can't handle the cold in DC on Monday, they should definitely stay away from Chicago on Tuesday.

Co-songwriter Terry Hall's Fun Boy 3 version got to top ten in UK 2 years later.

Not an "extra" verse. Was there from the beginning.

She's gonna do another turn and end up with Varoufakis isn't she?
