The winds are kicking up so that even this Cooper’s hawk needed a break hanging out on my front deck. 🪶

Supposed to storm today with a chance for a little tornado this evening…oh joy. Still pretty with an orange, pink, pale blue, and lavender dawn.

Last night I saw
the heavens dance
across the sky.
The stars
chased after
and I swayed,
hands fingerpainting
my reply.
This is love
in Autumn,
this is
Autistic fireworks
stim etched
into memory.
This is how
I survive
a blue funk.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16? Idk about perfect but 2 were very influential on me.

When my rooster crows nonstop at 3am I have to take it seriously and investigate. I saw nothing but heard other roosters crowing so guessing it’s the grapevine passing on a neighborhood warning. Saw this rising moon while I was out.

She loved lavender flowers but was allergic to them.

Sunrise through the fog
Sweet dreams, nocturnal orb weaver.
Hello birds singing sweetly.
Fog comes late this year,
I wonder if winter will too?

In spring I start to twitch,
I have an itch
Only a hike can cure,
A hike for color
A new cycle for the year.
#Yellow is first to show
In dandelions, daffodils, forsythia,
And a pale blue lavender
Is the tiny bluet
First to show,
To say to the others
The ground has thawed,
It’s safe friends.

Early this morning the sunrise decided to illuminate the clouds.

Into autumn
I creep like a cat,
Scanning everywhere
For glimpses of orange
I’ll bring home to cook
Foraging for supper
A satisfying task.

As the sun rises
Its light shines warm
In our hearts
Vibrating
Like a water droplet ping
Of a skipping stone
Echoed forever in our minds.

Like a vortex
some circles draw you in
calming you with
vibes of peaceful bliss.

Each one reminds me of
spinning fast
clinging to the bars of a
merry go round,
focused on clouds.

Where is my center?
Is it the ink black pupils of my eyes?
Is it my navel at body’s middle?

Assuming it’s my finger closeup, what have you photographed in your sleep?

I am lost in my journey with words, no new poems, I never think about reading books, and I am forgetting way too many words. So taking a bit of a break from social media. Working on fabric art instead.

Taking out the garbage I glanced over at the arborvitae and thought: wtf??? Which one of my neighbors put fried eggs in my yard and why?
On closer inspection they are mushrooms.

Helen’s books are quite good and the animal characters really draw you into the stories. I think our coauthored book is enjoyable as well. I liked her illustrations so much I got one tattooed.

Peekaboo sunrise, rise and shine lovelies! Rock this day like the superstars you are! Be kind and may the world treat you kindly! Peace! ✌️

If your kitten who is going on one year old is afraid to come into the house when you use a frying pan in the kitchen, it’s probably a sign you don’t cook often. Guilty as charged.

One sleeps comfortably at the foot of my bed,
Their sibling practically buried in a pile of stuffed animals.
Both contentedly purring in their sleep on a #Caturday night.

In the nighttime,
in the dark
of a starlit alleyway
crept the shadows
of the ribwort plantain
as the tree frogs sing
and the lightning bugs dance,
I reach for my phone
and it forever.

Some orange slime mold that look like itty bitty mushrooms on a log.

My little garden is edged in with concrete blocks I spray painted and in the holes the first year I planted short sunflowers. I don’t remember adding the evening primrose and think it was an avian addition. Good luck my friend! Picture of it in the beginning.

When I look up at the sky, it’s nice to see stars and not just rain clouds.
