So very sorry to hear that. It was the same here. They pushed clinically vulnerable to send children who had shielded back to school still unvaccinated. So many children were lost. It’s unforgivable.

The Lancet study clearly shows rest is vital to avoid long covid.

3yr old to her mum: what's that?pointing at my mask
Mum: a mask, it helps you breathe easier
3yr: I want a mask so I can read easier

I had something similar happen in a farm shop over the summer. A little girl said to her mum why is the lady wearing a mask. She said ‘it stops her getting sick’ she said ‘can I have one mum?’. The mum said ‘no don’t be silly!’.

I am sorry for your friend, it’s truly awful.

It’s causing autoimmune conditions.
November 17, 2025 at 11:07 AM
It is but we don’t know the long term outcomes and if many develop autoimmune and become immunocompromised that’s not curable. So I think we will see possibly a mixed situation or maybe worse?
November 17, 2025 at 11:07 AM
Exactly
November 17, 2025 at 11:05 AM
I’m not an immunologist but I have friends with proven tested immune damage now and long covid. We might recover? If we stop catching COVID. It’s the only way. Or maybe Leonardi is correct? Either way we are gambling with long term health currently.

Unless someone in government puts the breaks on this we are in a right mess.

autoimmune maybe not. I have autoimmune and my immune system isn’t great.
November 17, 2025 at 10:59 AM
And you think it will continue to be with back to back infections. We have known since 2022 that immune dysregulation lasts 8 months ( but that was the length of that study) many I know are catching this twice a year. So they must be constantly suffering. Will they recover? Who knows? If they get

I have been following Leonardi from early on. We shouldn’t be catching this virus.
November 17, 2025 at 10:55 AM
There is a lot of evidence on immune damage.

That’s very good to hear. We need masked performances and clean air.

Fantastic, opera is amazing. I am currently composing one about the life of Florence Nightingale. It’s taking a backseat at the moment to my song cycle work.
