Totally agree. In a perfect world my feed knows what I want to see at all times. But as long as Apps can't read our minds, they need context for recommendations. I can take a few minutes and train my feed by liking content I want to see rn (as many do on IG), or I can just tell it what my context is

The approach I am going for at the moment is trying to give the user control over the feed. A bit like Tumblr. I think recommendation blackboxes just end up creating the very thing many users tried to escape from when leaving centralised platforms.

Feel like bluesky discover receives very little love from their side. I'm working on an alternative and if you're down I'd appreciate your input on this. What would you want to see? What needs to be filtered? Appreciate any thoughts!
