If we're talkin main series, Gen 4 will always feel like the perfect visual style for me and coupled with the physical/special split that has become standard today, SoulSilver will always hold that special place in my heart. Spinoff games? I really loved Legends: Arceus and hope Z-A is good haha

The marketing didn't "lie", it opted to not spoil the story and the bait and switch led to that moment being even more evocative and effective.
