Hegseth is more angry junior officer than SECDEF. He’s wound up in the minutia of Army regulations while seemingly ignoring the USN, USMC, USAF and Space Force. He also has a vendetta against military women rooted in an ideology that’s not validated by reality.

Ah, he fired three women admirals in key leadership positions not because he judged them to be incompetent DEI hires—they weren’t. No, his personal religious convictions told him he had to fire them because God said no women in leadership positions. What a way to run the Navy.

Women vets are the fastest growing group using VA healthcare these days. Obstetricians are noticeably missing from the list. This is because virtually all obstetric care is already referred to community docs. Unfortunately, their specialty is growing scare in many areas of the country.
