So sad

From @cnn: Capital Area Food Bank distributed canned and dry goods to over 370 households of federal employees and contractors on Tuesday – they had been expecting around 150 people. The event was hosted by No Limits Outreach Ministries in Landover, Maryland.

Banned book #18 out of 373 from Naval Academy Library. Given the truth-telling, activism, resistance themed banned books I've read that threatened ⬜️ elitism, this book was about a woman who strived to break generational curses to live a fulfilling life. What's threatening about that?

We will never forget.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. solemnly pauses to honor the lives lost, the courage of 1st responders who gave everything, and the resilience of survivors who continue to bear the weight of that day. We also remember the unity, strength, and humanity that emerged in its wake.

In honor of International Day of the World's Indigenous People, I volunteered to create digital fact cards highlighting inspiring Indigenous people. These cards will be used by the Wayuu Taya Foundation to educate children about the rich history of Indigenous people and their communities. #goodera

I was so awestruck by our family history that I wanted to learn more about the community where my ancestors are from. Our history cannot be erased no matter how many books are banned.

Had the pleasure of attending the MCDCC event and engaging many supporters. Had to greet the mayor from my hometown, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott while he was here in Montgomery County.

Banned book #11 out of 373 from Naval Academy Library

Laws created & tactics used to disenfranchise eligible voters from predominantly underrepresented communities all spelled out here. 😡

Fair elections would not have resulted in this catastrophe we're living in now.
