On this day last year: I relented to a persistent teacher and held a field trip in the rain, and learned why we cancel field trips when it rains. Now if I’M this soaked, imagine how soaked the poor kids without a Goretex rain jacket were ☹️ it’s not just a comfort thing, it’s also an equity thing!

Today my coworker said to me, “I have something really silly for you,” and proceeded to pull out a tube that contained a micro puzzle. Best 30 minutes of my day so far was putting this together

The jazz dance class is so much fun. It’s all new to me, so it’s a brain stretch as well as a physical stretch. It was scary at first, but 3 weeks in and I’m getting the hang of it!
And it brings me SO much joy! Look at how happy I am at the end of this choreography we’ve been working on! 🥹

The jazz dance class is so much fun. It’s all new to me, so it’s a brain stretch as well as a physical stretch. It was scary at first, but 3 weeks in and I’m getting the hang of it!

-got paid to go to one of my favorite parks to nature journal by myself for two hours as ~research~
-went to my jazz dance class for the 3rd week in a row!
-finished leftovers that were not my favorite,but we don’t waste food in this house

Yesterday I went on an elephant seal guided tour at Año Nuevo State Park. I decided to focus on sketching this time instead of trying to take pictures through my binoculars.
It was a fun challenge as they were really active ☺️

Went to the Dr. today to see about a weird itchy bump on my eyelid. She concluded it was a bug bite lol. So I basically paid $15 to pet her office golden retriever and receive suggestions for OTC face wash and itch cream that’s safe for eyelids. I have no regrets.
