I bought this record on sight at the 2016 Birmingham record show, instrumental and vocal blue eyed soul covers from Louisiana. At one point I tried to find the rights owners to reissue it but the trail went cold. It’s a well placed sample or influencer post away from being highly in demand.

I love the whole record but the ballads always struck me the most, something about his rhythmic sense and phrasing really shine on them.

Quite enamored by this new one from the mighty Eremite Records — an all percussion ensemble (including tonal instruments like vibraphone) featuring Joe Chambers (!!), Chad Taylor (!!) and the new to me Kevin Diehl
