I really dislike the "gate" added to everything. It minimizes the scandal by situating it as a lesser of Watergate. This is not a subset crime to Watergate. This is its own beast of a scandal.

Just sick. Targeting immigrants for activism now, targeting naturally born citizens next. Both are abhorrent. Both are illegal. And it's only a matter of time before they start targeting me too. "First they came..."

Sure, some don't know. Most do know, at least in their gut. Fear can overpower morality and rationality. The instinct for personal preservation is quite powerful and can blind the senses.
