The new #괴담출근 updates have got me feeling some sort of insane way about Agent Choi, so obviously the wip is started
Fingers trace over Choi’s neck, following the raised edges of his scar. Over his pulse point and across his trachea. It should have him drawing tense, fight instead of flight. All it does is drag a small huffing laugh from him. Jaekwan’s gaze is unbreaking, his hands steady, and Choi would let him wrap those fingers around his throat if he wanted. There’s no threat being in Jaekwan’s grasp, not when the only reason he’s touching Choi now is out of guilt. It’s guilt that makes Choi think of blood staining crescents on his nail beds, ink on the whiteboard and hospital beds. Jaekwan would risk his life to save Choi if it came to it. It’s something that grates at the edges of his nerves, an unwanted acceptance of Jaekwan’s personality. It’s something that pisses him off as much as he’s charmed by it. Jaekwan never needs to know that it will never happen, that Choi will throw him out of the way every time just to make sure that he’s the one who will live. “You’re thinking too loudly,” he says, his voice far too loud in the quiet room. It breaks whatever unspoken promise there had been to not talk about whatever this is. It’s loud enough to have Jaekwan’s steady hand jerking back as if he’s been scalded. “I’m not,” Jaekwan grunts, which only makes Choi laugh fully this time. There’s an edge to it, he knows, but he doesn’t give Jaekwan time to notice. He reaches up, sinking his fingers into Jaekwan’s hair and pulls. He drags Jaekwan in, rolling him down into the already mussed bed. Jaekwan is honest to a fault, even when the words spilling from his mouth are anything but.
