Yeah I worry about that too. And in a genre based almost solely on mechanical skill, I can see it very easily get optimized

i think the reason Tarkov works as well as it does is that everyone has different points of interest/quests so it creates a lot more variety in encounters

obviously i wouldve preferred a singleplayer game, but i also have some excellent indie games to play like #Gloomwood

im kinda tired of seeing everything become a hero shooter tho. you can do loadout customization without heroes (like thief tdp did) but hero shooters are whats marketable right now

although that would require me to store normals and uvs for an vertex that isnt used...
