For the 10th year, government minister Jess Phillips MP has marked International Women's Day by standing in the House of Commons and reading the names of the women killed by a man in the UK in the past year.
It took over 4 minutes to read the names of the 95 women.

Policy adjustments need an assessment of unintended consequences - or was it intentional? “You need more than this comedy of errors – shoving a terrible policy off-stage, sparking yet another huge selloff in the process and inducing another drop in council housing. You really need an alternative.”

This should never have got to court. Safety work women do-not just in cabs/at night-is ubiquitous. It shrinks our spaces, lessens us, makes us angry. Context is everything. “Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them.”
