We used the few sunny days to go and explore the Welsh coastline, and naturally, I had to do a tiny watercolour study (with a tiny bit of gouache)

For my final major project at uni, I started a conceptual campaign to help get dogs adopted by drawing them as classical paintings.
All, but one of them got adopted while I was working on the project.

So I present to you: Noodles as Beethoven by Joseph Karl Stieler.
The painting Beethoven with the manuscript of the Missa solemnis, but instead of beethovens head, there's a poodles head. Instead of holding the manuscript or a quil, he is holding a dog treat and a Frisbee

What do you guys prefer, a photo of a painting or a high-quality scan?
I always feel like a photo feels more personal, but the scan shows the work in a higher quality.

A homage to Frida Kahlos painting "self-portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird". Instead of Frida, the person is a dog and several items have been switched to dog related items. For example the thorn necklace is now a thick dog collar with a tennis ball hanging from it.

I'm Elena and I am a 3rd year Illustration student. I mostly really enjoy combining traditional media like watercolour with digital art.

This #illustration is part of a 5 frame animation I made it for uni last year. Her tail is supposed to be wagging.

It is honestly one of my favourite pieces I've ever made, but maybe that is because I love my dog so much 🥰

Sometimes, being an #artist means pouring hours into a piece of art. You think about colour schemes, composition, etc.

But then you spend a few hours doodling while waiting and make stuff that brings you more joy than anything else you have ever created.

I made this for a charity auction for the amazing cancer charity Maggie's. I digitally combined #gelliprinting and #gouache textures on #Procreate to create this.
