🧵 Cosmological Simulations: How We Rebuild the Universe Inside a Computer

What if you could rewind the universe…
and then press play again?
That’s exactly what cosmologists do—
not with telescopes, but with supercomputers.

🧵 Does the Universe Have a Center?

Instinctively, we imagine everything must have a center.
Circles do.
Explosions do.
So it feels natural to ask:
👉 Where is the center of the universe?
The answer is… unsettling.

🧵 Dark Energy: A Fatal Error… or New Physics?

The universe is expanding.
Not just expanding—but accelerating.
Something is pushing galaxies apart faster and faster.
We call it dark energy.
But here’s the twist:
👉 It might be a huge mistake… or the biggest discovery in physics.

I know I only make posts about my papers, but I can't help not sharing that my second paper-- and my first paper as part of the DESI collaboration-- has just been published! You can find the paper here: www.aanda.org/articles/aa/...

I’m excited to share my first published paper: "Constraining cosmological parameters using void statistics from the SDSS survey", where we explore how cosmic voids can be used to constrain key cosmological parameters such as σ₈, Ωₘ, and H₀.
