Sometimes I find it easier to design a character first and from there I can kinda project myself onto them. From there, try to go wild! Pick an animal you like and draw a character based on that. Or just mix and match parts to create your own creature. You can always make a new character later too!

Thank you! I was really trying to get better at showing shapes with shading rather than lines, and I think I did pretty good! Glad to hear other people agree!!
