“The whips and scorns of time” - as Shakespeare says through Hamlet - is one of the ‘calamities ‘ of living a long life… including, but not limited to, “the law’s delay,” and “the insolence of office”. Possibly, at 248 years old, our country should finally be cast as Hamlet.
