Advocacy begins with listening, and that’s exactly what I am here to do.

Right now, too many representatives aren’t listening. Our communities deserve leadership that hears you, takes their responsibility seriously, and actually delivers for us.

We know that we deserve better from our government, and each day we continue his legacy by fighting for a better tomorrow.

As we reflect on what today stands for, it would be short-sighted to ignore the work that still remains. We look to the leadership and teachings he has left behind to guide us in continuing to fight for equal rights across our country.

His decades-long fight for civil rights exemplifies what passionate, actionable, and fierce advocacy in leadership looks like. He never backed down, because he believed that every American should have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of equality.

I am focused on practical, people-first solutions that reflect the values and needs of southeastern North Carolina. New Hanover County deserves a representative who listens, brings people together, and delivers practical solutions for the future.

This campaign is not about politics as usual or more of the same. It’s about real change and bringing new leadership to Raleigh that will actually show up, listen, and care about the people who live here.

I am running because every child, every family, and every neighborhood in North Carolina deserves real opportunity, stability, and a fair shot at getting ahead.

I am currently serving on the New Hanover County Board of Education, advocating for our public schools and to better support our students, teachers, and staff. I have also been a small-business owner for more than 45 years.
