Definitely not three reply-bots in a trench coat.
Teething problems that people who are already invested in hating TC turned into scandals and scams and outrage and, as one video put it, speedrunning corporate moneygrabs.

Some are still concerns, some were resolved a year ago, some were never actually a thing.

You can distract Hive Fleet Tiamet by jiggling a few planets at them.

Well the good news is that Trench Crusade's creators and community promptly told those folks to get fucked, so they all hate TC now and chuds aren't really a problem.

But the Kickstarter is almost fulfilled at this point. Minis are pretty much done, and the books are with the shipping companies.

Real things exaggerated into rage. There have been delays, quality issues on the 3D prints from OnlyGames, some people are unhappy they moved to plastics rather than continuing with STLs, and the service doing their copyright takedowns seems to be flagging legitimate things because of an AI tool :/

Consider that the "devs are really scummy" claims are coming from influencers who get paid by making people angry. TC has regular "Kickstarter that did too well" teething problems, nothing more.

With any luck they've managed to Streisand Effect it.
January 11, 2026 at 11:25 PM
A lot of the outrage over the last year really does boil down to "did you just learn about Kickstarter yesterday?"
January 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM
A number of them have had it out for TC since the creators told alt-right jerks taking the TradCath aesthetic too seriously to get lost. Community is inclusive therefore game is Woke Bad, the usual.

TC has some problems, but they're not on even close to the scale those videos suggest.

Jerusalem was destroyed and became a portal to Hell 60 years before he would've been born. Not much to be king of.

No colonization, so just the First Nations.

To be fair, you probably do want to figure out your nails *before* using them to make superclones. What if the fourth was from a psychopath three crucifixes over?

I think it's not a Tubi Original so much as "a thing that Tubi now has". Was originally from or in conjunction with WotC, part of a few D&D shows they launched a while back.

My Tyranid carapaces are in this territory - a mix of AP's Pale Bone and Crusader Yellow speedpaints, with a sepia wash on top.

The lore for the remaining Crusader orders hopefully makes alt-right garbage hard to bring in.

"Because of the Templars, we distrust you so much that you *may not continue to exist* without having a magical binding oath inscribed on your bones to make sure you can't get up to anything shitty."

We don't have lore about them, but have a look in the background of the Mechanized Heavy Infantry art.

The Tet Offensive, if anything.
December 17, 2025 at 12:53 AM
No, it was blown up. They had to build a massive dome over the crater to contain residual radiation.

It's not specified to be a nuke, just mysterious infernal weapon, but... yeah.
December 10, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Which makes it perfect for crackpots in TC grasping for any (pseudo)scientific theory that might explain the wild shit they're seeing.
December 10, 2025 at 8:45 PM
The more uses of "phlogiston", "aether", and "humours", the better.
December 10, 2025 at 8:27 PM
The writer said they could exist in the setting, and would just be trying to find rational explanations like underground civilizations.

My headcanon is that they're coming up with the most batshit ideas and only ever being right by accident.

I mean, the Trench Pilgrims aren't even wearing shoes and the Moving Fortress of Britannia is a fleet carrier with a larger crew complement than the capacity of the biggest cruise ship in the world today.

Goofiness everywhere for those with eyes to see.
December 7, 2025 at 8:12 PM
It is a funny item. From the lore blurb, I think it's less "makes you better" and more "magically forces the wearer to actually try hard to do what you ordered it to do".
November 22, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Add "Is my terrain bad?" to the list. It's easy to set up a board where some factions are at a big disadvantage.
November 22, 2025 at 1:31 AM
This has always been a weird thing about them to me.

A blast should require LOS from its epicenter to actually hit things, except for weapons that would reasonably ignore cover like the Infernal Aura grenade.
