The people want to know how to throw pots, so I throw pots. The people struggle to make lightweight pots, so I showed them how to facet them to remove the weight. We’ll keep practicing and the pots will get lighter, but in the meantime we’ll have interesting, sculpted beauties to show off 🪨😎

Exploring the idea of two coyotes in the same environment, but having very different experiences. The top coyote’s having an awkward time while the bottom coyote is feeling it.
Two blue, sculpted ceramic coyote heads mounted onto the wall. The top coyote’s lip is stuck and has 3 teeth sticking out, its ears are back like it got blasted with wind in the face. The bottom coyote is turned to the left, howling into the wind. The pair are in the same environment having two very different experiences. My favorite piece of 2024 🐺🐺🐺 exploring the use of waste clay and glaze, creating surfaces that cannot be planned or replicated. Up to 7 clay bodies and an unkown combination of glaze ingredients, reduction fired.
