It really is, and can appreciate people who are committed to that level of grind. But I want to earn a good wage doing something I also really enjoy and love comfortably with my partner (who is currently studying for a masters degree) within the next 10 years.

I had a reality check with myself that I personally am not very good at self promoting my music. It’s essential these days in the music industry because of social media. I will still make music, but more for myself and without the pressure.

Yeah I’ve seen the same recently too. It just seems icky to me and defeats the purpose of being here imo.

Exactly this. Also, it’s nice not to be constantly bombarded with politics. I think the problem on other platforms is not having healthy debates. It’s all super toxic over there.

I remember when the DS came out. I was 13 at the time. It was the first expensive thing that I saved up my own money for and when I got it I was absolutely blown away. It was my favourite handheld console for years. Many great memories doing wireless coop with friends at sleepovers.

I definitely judge new people I’ve met by how they treat service staff. You can tell if they’ve ever worked on retail or hospitality by the way they treat staff.

Serial Experiment Lain has been the one anime I have recommended the most to people for years. Great story, not super long, great mystery/sci-fi, and will stick with you for a long time.
