The most breathtakingly beautiful setting for a concert, the gardens of the Alcazar in Sevilla. Concerts almost every summer night with an entrance charge of €7 and an hour and a half to wander through the magnificent gardens and/or have a drink beforehand. Magical!

Such a brilliant book! I gasped aloud several times. The second Tessa Hadley novel I’ve read (first was The London Train - wonderful) & I can’t wait to read the rest.

I’m reading La Puerta by Manel Loureiro en Español in an attempt to improve my Spanish. It’s a thriller but especially thrilling for me as I slowly translate every twist & turn. A bit gruesome but good so far.
