I haven’t been able to swim in the fjord since early October - and today was 5 degrees and my first day back in! Made it to waist height but hope to actually swim tomorrow ❄️ 🧊 🏊♀️

Our rubbish got attacked by crows yesterday and I spent ages having to pick it all up…yucky! In the hope of avoiding it happening again my kids built me a scarecrow - what do you think Bluesky?

This resonates. Coco has been on a diet for a year and has managed to put on 500g 😳 he keeps coming home smelling of other people’s fabric conditioner….

What better way to prepare for a week of coding transcripts and writing up case studies than a 4 hour hike up to Pulpit Rock? The kids (9+7) were AMAZING! There was only minimal moaning and that was when it had been too long between snack breaks 🙄 #Preikestolen

A cup of tea, a good book, and *this view* #PerfectEvening - although I’ll admit there’s something particularly depressing about reading @samfr.bsky.social ‘s book in #Norway where (from my privileged expat perspective) everything JUST WORKS! Looking forward to the “how to fix it” part…

I recently got a Garmin watch and the thing I’m most fascinated by is how it tracks my stress levels whilst performing desk based research activities! Today I’m analysing and writing up data, you can see I get less stressed as I work out what I’m doing, and ‘rest’ when I stop for lunch. Very clever!
