I feel even worse for my federal colleagues than I do for me (because I like them so much as people and because I can see how hard they’re working hold the line) but like. No one is having a good time this year and I’m tired, boss.

But it’s certainly true that the people I know tend to like that stuff in their fandoms! Would not necessarily be a slam dunk for folks who would not find the available vibe-sets compelling, for sure.

Interesting back atcha, and also makes sense! I do think some of the success with GS is that it’s very approachable as freeform storytelling, and the gameplay elements are all consent/collaboration tools. So it’s just, you like interpersonal relationships and yearning? Have I got a game for you!

It blew my mind in the best possible way the first time I heard a safety check-in during an AP. Wasn’t a remotely new concept to me as a player or game-runner! But I’d never seen one modeled in an AP before and it was so, so refreshing.

I’ve found really specifically Good Society to be an effective gateway for these folks, because it interacts with and thrives on all that fanfic muscle memory. I don’t try to gateway folks who are happy with what they’re doing! But we’ve expanded a lot of palates just because the vibes are so right.

I tend to run PCs who are Very Ordinary outside of their niche. I find this fun for lots of reasons! But definitely one is that it provides just enough grounding to keep everybody’s cool stuff feeling Very Cool by comparison; it’s great.

Apparently this is the last hurrah for this sticker set. (I have adored this fishing bottle/state situation for a while now.) Also apparently I was not the only person to hear this and promptly look forward to seeing the next set of designs “if we ever have another election.” So that seems fine.

Transported some sandwiches at a different polling place this evening and was awarded another sticker. Just to write a thousand times on the chalkboard, “I will not troll the internet with an extended voted-twice bit,” before they’d let me leave.

I’ve started giving a bonus start-of-session hero point to the player with the worst luck last session per Dice Stats, and like. I’m trained in statistics. I understand randomness. I still believe with every fiber of my being that Foundry *hates* one of my players.
