You can try The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi! It's #1 in a series of 3 books and is absolutely irreverent🤭 there's a bit of queer romance, a bit of absurd comedy and if you're a fan of space operas, mystery and political intrigue you might like it! The characters have good character arcs.

The designs were incredible, and I really really wanted to support the production, but I'm disappointed with the production decisions on the fabric choice and I'm disappointed because of this terribly long wait time.

Maybe it doesn't HAVE to be "important" like empowering, but it can be important as a creative outlet and a place of relaxation and stability despite everything going on? That's how I think about my fashion. Coording and creating outfits helps to take my mind off everything going on rn

But also as you rightfully pointed out DI has had issues for YEARS now. She didn't have to take that sponsorship. It's not worth it to sell your integrity to a company especially in such a niche community like lolita

Right I saw this too and like.....if you signed a contract with the company and you can't back out then why not just say something to your fans? She doesn't even have to speak out against them? She could say "hey guys I'm partnered with DI for at least another year" and I think ppl would understand
