Really enjoyed Leviathan Wakes but back to a fantasy setting for The Poppy War for book 6 📚

Very much enjoying Leviathan Wakes as a much needed pallette cleanser from Fantasy that has dominated my 2025 so far. 📚

The Alloy of Law was brilliant. Sanderson's growth as writer between Era 1 and Era 2 is enormous. Wax and Wayne are genius characters, his very own Butch and Sundance. if this book doesn't grab you and refuse to let go I think maybe fantasy is not the genre for you. 📚

I love hot sauces. Every year I get a selection from the MIL. This year the options are excellent.

Damn you, Brandon Sanderson. The Alloy Of Law has sucked me into the Mistborn world once more. Wax and Wayne are so much more fun than Vin and Ellend.

Always on the look out for people walking 3 streets away so he can bark out a warning in case they decide, against all logic, to break in and murder us while we are distracted by reading.

I have empty bookshelves. Seems like a good excuse to go raid some second hand bookshops.

Book 4 of 2025 is The Alloy of Law. Read Era 1 for the first time last year. Looking forward to revisiting that world of the the next little while. #Books

So Dragonflight was brilliant fun. Dragons, magic of sorts, Political intrigue and all in under 350 pages. A refreshing change from the house bricks of modern fantasy authors. What next for book 4 of the year?
