Had the pleasure of commissioning a longtime favorite artist of mine, @xuuikie.bsky.social, to draw Natasha/XenoGirl.
If you’ve not heard of her, I cannot recommend her Metroid and Signalis art enough. Phenomenal stuff.

Got the Synapse 4K release. :)
Comes with a really cool Japanese theatrical poster, plus all 3 cuts of the film.

Cannot for the life of me find the source for this Land of the Lustrous fan art. But it’s gorgeous, and the Lapis Lazuli arc for Phos has always been one of my personal favorites.

I never expected it to be Bong Joon Ho’s next “Parasite” or anything, and I did overall have a good time. But man do I wish the political satire had a little more bite to it, or any. That said, this is one Robert Pattinson’s finest hours.

Nothing to threaten or attack them.
But my existence threatens the circuitously stagnant cultural norms that they unhealthily cling to like infants suckling on an old, tattered and dirty blanket desperately in need of replacement.” (1/3)

Akira Amemiya presents Gridman: The End of Gridmangelion and it’s simply incredible. The most anime any anime has ever anime’d since Studio Trigger’s last theatrical film.

After skipping it for so long, and seeing SSSS Dynazenon without having seen it, I finally got around to watching this series start to finish. And yup… the hype was real. SSSS Gridman and SSSS Dynazenon are two of Trigger’s best and most criminally underrated shows.

While it only feels like a tenuous follow-up to the original OVA series, it’s a fascinating convergence point between the energies of Gainax’s veterans and the youngbloods of the studio that would soon find their voice with Gurren Lagann and go on to form Studio Trigger.

A riveting animated science fiction series about uploaded intelligence that had me engrossed start to finish, and deserves far more attention than its status as an AMC+ exclusive sadly allows.
