Made a statement to my local school board today. Shook like a leaf through the whole thing because my brain can’t tell if I’m reading a statement or being hunted for sport. Speak up where you can… even if those in power listening do nothing.. if even one person feels seen, it makes a difference.

Being quiet in the face of tyranny is what they want the most. They want us scared . BE LOUD and refuse to normalize what’s happening to “play nice”. The people being stripped of their rights need us to revolutionize.

I’m mad at myself, as a parent, that I’m not as brave as these immigrants who leave everything to give their kids a better life. Remaining in the US, where the leading cause of death in children is gun violence… I’m ashamed I can’t (or haven’t) taken them to a safer country by any means necessary.
