Rolled the credits on Metroid Fusion last night for the first time in close to 20 years. It's still a great game and I love the heck out of it, but of the 2d Metroids, I think it is my least favorite.

Gave the kids an early gift for finding the pickle ornament and to entertain them until the big day. I thought it would give them something to do. The Fox in the Forest is a REALLY fun deception card game for 2 players with an Uno feel to it.

Made a thing out of scrap boards to hold some plants on our walls above the microwave. Stained it so the poplar and the 2x4s match one another. Now I need to grab a few more low maintenance plants. I think in time I'm going to hang some hooks on here for some coffee mugs too.

I'm incredibly grateful for the NoVR mod for Half-Life: Alyx, otherwise I'd not be able to experience it. I have a VR headset (it's an older model, but it checks out), but for the life of me I cannot do movement in VR. The motion sickness wrecks me.

Had a fun trip down memory lane replaying Half-Life 2. It is still beautiful and haunting with amazing sound design and clever world building. The game is a master class in visual storytelling.
Funny to think, without it, we wouldn't have Dishonored, Vermintide, Portal. Really, the list is endless

Kinda hoping I hold the record for "most bass oboe VGM covers on the internet"
Really trying to get into Alan Wake 2, but these mind place "puzzles" hinder the pace. The game won't let me progress until I find the right arbitrary thing to click on.
It's a cool idea, but when my game time is often unexpectedly broken up by real life, this can be a slog to constantly redo.

Made a fun little toy sword for my smaller guy. The practice swords they use in his martial arts class are expensive and plastic which he's damaged after only a month. He can beat this up and I will happily build him another one out of another scrap board. #woodworking

Kind of digging Karate Survivor. It's like if Vampire Survivors and a bunch of Jackie Chan movies had a baby.
Is it mind-blowing? No, but super entertaining and worth the $5 I spent. Can't even get Taco Bell for that much.
