I'd understand if it was drastic cover art variations, but vinyl, which you can't see easily, what's the point? Waste of plastic.

Ironically black vinyl presses are usually the most limited versions of the albums with loads of gimmicky "limited edition red/blue/clear vinyl" variations. Try find yourself a black McCartney III for example, impossible.
