I know I don't (or shouldn't) ACTUALLY need him to go to bed first, and yet. Brain. So I'm working on trying to convince Brain it's okay, really.

Yes, even if his work alarm goes off before mine.

And yes, even if he really is staying up later than is smart. He's a grown-up making his own choices.

Similar but not: 1.75ish years married/living together and I still have a hard time making myself get up and even get ready for bed if he is still up. It's not that I've forgotten. My brain just tries to tell me I CAN'T go until he does, and often insists I must still stay up 15 min - 2 hrs later.

I should do more today, too. Glad you at least did enough not to feel bad. Mission accomplished, lol.

Thought I would add a small update. I got one box unpacked, a handful of pictures and other wall decor hung up (one involved stringing some keychains), and various bits and pieces of organization or sorting through things done, all focused on my office. Oh, and I unloaded the dishwasher.

I get it. They have been known to help me, too!

No very specific plans. Generally, though: Stay warm (our furnace effectively died yesterday, but we have a couple space heaters), and do a mix of chores and relaxation, basically. A couple specifics are that I need to finish a present I'm making, and I need to work on cleaning/organizing my office.

She does. It's long, but not too much for Christmas.

Quite a long day for me, too. Worked until noon, then drove 2.5 hours away and back to see my sister, and my parents visiting from out of state, to have a Christmassy celebration with them.

P.S. Finding these Adventures books to be able to read them is no joke. If anyone wants to donate books to my cause (lol) let me know! I have a list of titles I still need... 😜

Tell me about it! I have no idea why. I've basically given up at this point. I think it's probably been more than a year like this. I've considered starting a new account, but 1) ugh, and 2), the times I've wanted to reply publicly somewhere just have not been that often.
