Sometimes I think about all the "fraud" DOGE found, the millions being sent to illegals, and how there are no stories of arrests or people being sentenced for the crimes. This seems similar.

I'm at the point in life where the warranty is more important than the label. If you'll replace it no questions asked I'll buy it because I'm not losing time at work by paying twice as much for a premium product that does the same thing.

Not everything disappeared in the dotcom bubble, but a lot of the trash did. I imagine the same thing will happen here where the majority of AI projects will go bust and only a few with actual merit will survive. No matter who wins though some companies are losing billions.

The greatest part about being 40 is I don't have to waste energy hating things, I can simply not watch them or stop watching them. Haven't watched anything after Enterprise, and someday I might watch lower decks. But anything that looks terrible I can ignore and no one can stop me!

Not gonna lie, it's nice hearing a podcast that's based as a podcast. Too many are meant to be YouTube streams that just get made into a podcast. Unless you're a host, a guest, or TsunamiDoucher I don't want to hear from you.

People who aren't creatives can't fathom the process it takes to create. Saying AI makes you creative is like saying a YouTube video on car repair makes you a mechanic. It really highlights how little someone understands about a skill they obviously don't possess.

It really is strange how we live with the fact that any co-worker with a bad day could snap and take everyone out on a whim, but anything that would prevent it is socialism or violating freedoms.

The new assault rifle is the first tolerable light penetration I've found. Grenade launcher is definitely a plus.
