Art isn't defined by how miserable the production process is. They have hundreds of lines for call-outs, noone wants to do that, all the story stuff is proper voiced. They license out their voice and get royalties; the same way as sample packs license out their samples - is that also not art then?

Also Embark did it in the most ethical way possible, which is asking the Voice Actors to be able to generate lines with their voice likeness, the actors know it and get paid for it, it's in their contract.

Not sure how anyone can be angry at that if the actors are fine with it.

And everyone who has played the game and enjoyed it is not gonna stop playing it because they maybe just now know that it has AI voices.
In The Finals on the other hand I found it extremely distracting.

It sucks that the industry works this way but they will keep doing it if the game finds players.

It's amazing, no game has the same vibe, especially in Solos.
It actually helped me a lot to approach random people more openly with prox chat.

Nope lol, spent about 50 hrs topside, 75 hrs ingame, Solos and Squads.

That worked so well for Gamescom that they immediately had to remove it lol
