I have visited the Rowher site many times over the last 10 years and never knew of this atrocity until college. It really angers me that as a country we are repeating this. I sometimes go there when things get to be too much. I'm so sorry this happened George Takei.

I am from Arkansas and visit the Rowher site you and your family were held at frequently. I can not explain the compulsion I have to visit this site. I'm a mental health therapist and have more than once sat quietly in the shadows of the monuments meant to ensure no one ever forgets what happened.

Yes!! I have been hammering this point home all week with clients. Community rebuilding, start on your street, reach out, we have to engage with others, complacency is the enemy.
